This game was made in 7 days for the 7DRL 2020 game jam.

Rogue Dealer is a game about your average roguelike merchant. However, this merchant has been cast into the space between roguelikes by an evil genie and now must make as much money as possible selling their goods to players from several famous roguelikes.

For those familiar, it is essentially a roguelike-themed reskin of the classic TI-83 calculator game drug wars!

You have limited time to buy valuable goods at low prices, and then turn them around to sell them for great profits. If you manage to amass enough money, who knows maybe you'll find a way to break the curse...(maybe after $200,000...)

That's a very cool game. I really enjoyed dealing, and was rather determined to get past $200,000... But the first time I gathered the needed amount, I missed the Mysterious Portal and was rather dismayed to watch the genie turn me into a lowly food merchant as usual. Thankfully I noticed it the second time around. I'm so proud of the riches I amassed that I am attaching a screenshot (SPOILER ALERT!):

I also encountered a bug which causes a resource to become negative, screenshots attached.

Thanks so much for playing! That is actually an obscenely impressive score! The negative items (and sometimes stash) bug is a quirky one that would be easy to fix but I'm being strict with myself for this game jam and haven't pushed any changes since the deadline ended.

Once again I'm very proud and glad you enjoyed the game!

well done!  It's very straight forward but the events help to keep things interesting.  I felt like I got really lucky with them, like getting 50 artifacts for 600, ended with 190k.  I wasn't sure what stashing was for, I felt like I had to always be moving cause there weren't alot of turns.

Thanks for playing! Stash was something I added purely because the original Drug Wars had it but I'll admit after playing my own game I also found it quite useless!

200k is the end game amount needed to see the ending, and I picked a short turn count because I wanted to err on the side of a game that's too short rather than one that overstays it's welcome :)

Cool concept, nicely executed. Appreciate the tongue-in-cheek humor. Well done.
